The popular Haarlemmerstreet is at walking distance as well as the Westerpark. The public transport is excellent. The tram and bus stop are at the corner of the street and Central Station can be reached within 10 minutes. 

STREETNAME:
The street is named after Philip van Marnix van Sint-Aldegonde. The man was a good friend of William of Orange and is said to be the author of the Wilhelmus, the Dutch national anthem.
